Chiropractic medicine is a safe non-pharmaceutical, manual approach to health care.  Chiropractors are regulated by provincial and national regulatory bodies.  They are well trained doctors that specialize in musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and treatment.  Chiropractors commonly treat spinal disorders, extremity joints and disorders affecting the nervous system.  Over the last couple of decades Chiropractic Medicine has become a well recognized form of health care and our research base is continually growing.  Alberta health care covers a portion of each patient visit and most extended health care plans recognize chiropractic care.

Joint adjustments are the primary method to which chiropractors treat patients.  This is a gentle manual approach to promote normal healthy movements of joints.  The goal of chiropractic treatment is the decrease pain, stiffness and to improve quality of life for our patients.   Physical therapy modalities such as; therapeutic ultrasound and interferential current therapy are also utilized to help aid in the treatment of most conditions.  Therapeutic exercises are often prescribed to provide adequate stretching and strengthening of muscle groups.
